A brilliant opening day victory for our 1st XV saw them see off preivously relegated Okehampton in commanding fashion. A nine try to one triumph that was only tarnished by a head injury to one of our players - he's recovering well for those asking, thank you for your well wishes. It was a brilliant performance with the tone set early on when in only the first few minutes we'd scored twice. The fast start continued and by half time we were well in the ascendancy even despite an intercept score for our opponents. The scoring did slow in the second period with it disjointed by stoppages but our defence did what was required to secure the victory. Our next opponent is another new one when we make the trip to Winscombe in a weeks time.
