Match Preview

After a very strong and encouraging trial match, in which some hands were well and truly put up, our attention now turns to our last preseason game against Sidmouth RFC.

The coaching team have decided to take a relatively small squad of 22 or so, to allow partnerships and units to forge stronger bonds before our first competitive match a week on Saturday.

Places are still all to play for, with 3 full on training sessions left after this match before the season starts in earnest.

This has been one of the best preseason campaigns for a number of years, with coaches Ben Wright and Ricky Pellow (ably assisted but Sam, Tim and Tim) putting on a number of fun but highly structured sessions.

Our numbers have been greatly increased by several new faces, who are extremely welcome and have slotted in seamlessly into the club culture and ethos.

We look forward to what promises to be a tough, but winnable, encounter at Sidmouth.
