AGM 2022

The 2022 Annual General Meeting will be held at 7pm on Wednesday 20th July at Topsham Rugby Football Club.

Please see the Calling Notice for the Club AGM on 20-July and the list of candidates standing for election.

The AGM is an essential part of the club’s functioning and all members should attend if they are able to. To complete the business we must have a quorum of 10% of our voting members present. Voting members are all Senior playing members, Junior playing members parents/guardians and the club’s VPs.

In it the club’s trustees will report on the club’s performance on-field and off-field by way of the financial performance of the club.

The club has to elect or re-elect it’s officers: Chairman, Vice-chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and other trustees, together with it’s management committee, who take responsibility for the day to day running of the club.

It is your chance to question them and vote to elect or not elect those proposed. It is also an opportunity to put any proposals to the club and to propose any member of the club for election. If you wish to do either you need to notify the Club Secretary by 3rd July and must use the Trustee Nomination Form, if you wish to nominate a trustee.

The main document to be presented at the meeting are the minutes of the previous AGM the accounts for the previous financial year, and the Trustees report for 2022, which will be available before the meeting. You may also wish to have a look at the club’s constitution.

The clubhouse bar will be open from 6:30pm and sandwiches will be available for people coming straight from work. If you are unable to attend in person you can still attend the meeting via a Zoom link which will be provided with the final calling notice.

Please note the documents linked to above can be found on the club website here

This is you chance to have your say in how the club is run.

Thank you

Graham Smith
Chairman
