A tense and nervy affair was settled by two tries from Ollie Smith as our 2nd XV beat Crediton to secure the league. It took half an hour before the deadlock was broken despite a mountain of pressure from the home side. A second and crucial blow was dealt mid way through the second half before Crediton returned to set up a nervy final fifteen minutes or so. The required composure was shown though and when Pat Gibbs stroked over a penalty it was only a matter of time. The victory crowns a brilliant season from the 2nd XV that has seen them set the tone in this division from the early stages. The defeat a week ago was disappointing but there was no doubt the lads enjoyed sealing promotion at home in front of the Topsham crowd.
