After a lengthy streak away from home stretching back to the famous Farnham win at the end of last year the Bonfire Field faithful were champing at the bit for a return. The visit of recent rivals Sidmouth was the perfect tonic whilst the scoreline was a very juicy cherry on top. A tight first half had us holding a 15-3 lead which included the rarity of an early penalty shot at goal, a sure sign of the battle we were expecting and duly got. However in the second forty things opened up and we began to flex our muscles pulling clear. A couple of scores for Sidmouth of their own highlighted their danger but the day was ours and with it the full five point quota. That's three from three for Tops - next up another local side in Exmouth and the Devon Senior Cup.
