A gritty performance saw us overcome Tiverton to bring up a record eighteenth straight win. Holding a narrow 0-5 lead at the break from a Hadley score the game properly sprung into life in the second period with both sides aware it was now or never. A perfect record on the line for us and the opportunity to close the gap at the top for the hosts. Tiverton were the first to score just minutes into the second half when they notched an easy three from in front. Tries from Mattin and then Barnaschone stretched our advantage back out to what looked like a comfortable distance considering the lack of points earlier but Tiverton fired back. They enjoyed a purple patch which garnered them two tries of their own and left the scoreline at 17-19. The game's decisive moment came with ten to go though when Oxland scored our fourth and pulled us back out to a seven point lead. With the clock ticking down and into the final moments with a penalty coming the Topsham fans were treated to a special moment when Lewis Webb slotted a classy drop goal from thirty-five metres out to seal the victory.
