The RFU has made the decision to delay the start of grassroots rugby until w/c 21st September at the earliest. Following the heatwave pitches remain 'hard and unsuitable for safe full-contact activity', with this in mind and with no 'lengthy spells of rain currently forecast' a decision has been made to postpone the start of competitive fixtures.
Training is still allowed to go ahead and friendly fixtures are at the discretion of the clubs 'providing that they have carried out the appropriate risk assessment and carefully considered player safety'.
More information can be found on the link below. We will provide more updates as we disect how this effects our planned activities, opening games, and potential Men's cup fixture with Tiverton.
