Our 2s saw off Crediton II away from home this afternoon to ensure it was our name being engraved on the Devon 2nd XV Shield. A wonderful season for the 2nd XV ends with us securing the league and cup double, the second time in two years a Topsham side has done that! In the fashion of recent Topsham Crediton battles this was another high scorer but other than the hosts early try that saw them take the lead we controlled proceedings. Crediton did score a late flurry of tries to reel us in slightly as we went down to fourteen but they were ultimately consolations. Congratulations to all that have played their part in this fantastic season, a sign of a healthy club is a strong 2nd XV. I think we can confidently say we have that, two out of two trophies secured, one loss out of nineteen and seventy four different lads playing throughout the season (in competitive games, likely more if we counted friendlies too).
