Dear Members,
As many of you will now know John Carroll ex-Treasurer of Topsham RFC, Trustee and founding father of Walking Rugby here at Topsham has sadly passed away. John epitomised what it meant to be a club man. He took responsibility and committed to making things happen. He was free with his time in supporting me as I transitioned to become Chairman of the club and for his knowledge and wisdom of club affairs I am very grateful. A selfless and giving man he was always keen to see things done properly never more so than in getting Walking Rugby started and encouraging the spread of it across Devon. The strength of our Walking Rugby section is testament to the leadership energy and drive he brought to the task. He will be sorely missed. John's funeral will take at St Peter's Chapel at Exeter Crematorium on the 18th May. The service will start at 13:30. There will then be a wake held afterwards at Topsham Rugby Club, if you would like to pay your respects then please come along from 3.15pm.

We would also like to express our deepest condolences to Anna as well as all of John's family and friends at this difficult time. John's presence on the touchline (of every section), in the bar and on the pitch will be sorely missed by everyone at Topsham Rugby Club
