Away vs Withycombe
The first half started quite quickly in the scoring department for us, but very slow in the rucking department. Tries came thick & fast, through some straight running up the middle by Jacob P & Joseph RL. Our defence was for the most part, very good, but simple lapses in concentration let Withy in too many times, but it was from our simple mistakes, like missed tackles, dropped passes or non-existent passes which let us down.
William R was, as always, such a solid force in defence, & along with the fiercely aggressive Bryn, managed to keep most of the opposition at bay.
Jacob A had a bit of a field day with some brilliant runs, scoring some great tries along the way.
Jayden is starting to get back to his best form again, both in attack and defence.
Jamie has some great offloads & Frankie had the “dive of the day”.
Our second half was much better than the first, & we finally started to dominate the rucks, so it was very pleasing to finish on a high note.
I must mention again, how determined Jacob P was, using his strength & power to bash players out of the way; really exciting to see him starting to hit the next level.
Well done all & see you on Saturday (Cornwall trippers) or next week for those not coming,
