Sunday 14th October

Homes vs Torquay
Sunday we welcomed a tough well drilled torquay team at the end of a very soggy weekend, From the very start it was clear it was going to be a very physical game, and for a large part of the match there was very little separating both teams , The breakdown was a real dog fight , our rucking was a bit confused and a bit of a mess many players did not seem to know what they should be doing, That said I cannot fault you on your determination and physicality, The details we can sort out in training.
Torquay made sure nothing was easy, and played a very hard game , but we did not take a backwards step, I take my hat off to you all, In the end I believe brute force and your fitness won the day for us .
Standout players on the day .
Joe Fordham, played his heart out with some great tackles and for me the best try of the season so far.
Quite clearly loved the physical side of this encounter and made himself very busy in the breakdown to good affect.
We are use to seeing his slick hands and footwork, but on Sunday we saw a very different side of his game , in defence and attack he was awesome .
Well done all.
