Strong team again to KO the new season

Hi All
Good opening game of the season, giving us the run out we needed ahead of our first Fisherman’s up game this Sunday.
First half saw us playing our brand of free flowing 15-man rugby, with a solid performance from the forwards.
Second half, due to us lacking match fitness, we struggled at times. Our decision making, especially when to kick, wasn’t the best either.
The match saw great debut performances by Juan and Goggs, a welcome return for Stan, plus an impressive hat trick by Kits.
Rhys was the hardest working player on the pitch, closely followed by Sam Baumber and Tom Kilmartin.

The boy’s preparation needs more focus after a summer away. Blisters need taping up the night before and water needs to be drunk at home beforehand, not after the warm up just before kick-off.

Thank you to Sam for sorting replacement shirts and for Larry for ensuring we have all our equipment for the season.

Great to see such a big turnout at training sessions; let’s keep it up.
