Old times were created when a visiting team from Topsham played a Sarries fifteen.
Playing with a strong wind in their favour the seconds had most of the terroritory during the first. There was not much to seperate the teams as the game became a stalemate with Sarries defence holding stong. The only reward for either side was a penalty to Topsham duly kicked by Tim Taylor.
The weather improved at the start of the second period and the Sarries took advantage of the conditions. Topsham were lacking and saw the host score two trys within the first ten minutes. These scores gave Sarries a lot of confidence as they built up the pressure. However Topsham held on and began to gain some good possession and were rewarded with scores from James Clark, Ian Jones and Darren Davies with a conversion from Tim Taylor. Sarries scored a further try during the half.
The Man of The Match was Robbie James. Like old times as a Topsham side win at Sarries 20pts to 15pts.
