Toe to Toe

A new season, new enthuiasum, new belief, same old. The seconds began the new season away at Tiveron.

The game began with both sides finding their feet, and the opening exchanges were even. The dead lock was broken when after 15 minutes Topsham took the lead with a penalty, kicked by Nathan Clark. From the restart things ebbed and flowed and Tiverton broke away from a mual to score the games opening try which was converted. As the half was coming to the close, the hosts were awarded a penalty for offside, and was duly gratfully kicked. Halftime 10 points to 3 to the hosts.

The second half continued as the first, with both sides not giving way. However Topsham began to gain the upper hand and was rewardes with a penaly, duly kick by Nathan. From the restart Topsham remained to hold the best of the game, and after some good open play a try was scored by the returning Steve Davies which was converted by Nathan.

Now leading, Topsham began to defend their lead. With time runing out, Tiverton upped the anti and scored the final points of the game. Same old.
