With Sidmouth 1st without a game and their 2nds with a cancelled game,
Topsham 2nds were expecting a torrid afternoon. This turned out differently.
On a fine sunny afertnoon Topsham began well with both sides trying to settle into the game. The flood gates opened when both forwards linked well with the backs, setting Darren Davies with his first of three scores, his second following shortly after, with forwards and backs working well on the narrow side.
Topsham now full of confidence made progress with a score by Stu Borrows. Three conversions were successful by Nathan Clark, and Topsham turned round at half time 26 points to the good.
Changes made, the second half continued in the same tempo as Topsham began to throw the ball about at every opportunity. Scores began to be made at regular in-roads but never crossed the home teams line.
Further scores by Tom Ricketts, Alek Cooper - with his first game with three tries and a conversion. The biggest cheer was for Dom Cant who cantered over from ten yards to score. Completing a fine game for Topsham was Phil Irish, Ben Moore and Adam Buckly with 2 tries
