The uncertainty how the 2nds would play after a disappointing game the week before at Torrington proved unfounded. Playing on a hard pitch after overnight frost the game was played in an open style with Crediton taking the lead in the first ten minutes. Topsham struck back and lead 10 / 5 at the end of the first half.
Playing with the slope Topsham began to be the better side and scored further tries by Dean Bywood and Darren Davies, with a conversion and penalty by Nathan Harding. Crediton replied with a further try and conversion in the last few minutes but ran out of time. Topsham were the worthy winners.
