Appologies for the short report but as I was away I will sum up various reports I have had.
This game was a good chance to give everyone a good run out ahead of next weeks trip to South Molton in the merit table. It is good to see Withycombe putting out a 2nd string again and hopefully Topsham will get a chance to reverse the result later in the year.
After a very even first half Topsham trailed 10 - 5. With young winger Liam Moran bagging Topshams try, his 2nd in as many games.
After the break Topsham wrang the changes as was always planned for this fixture.
In the second half Tops gave away a high number of penalties which always makes things difficult. That combined with a couple of missed tackles enabled Withies to stretch the lead and win the game.
There were plenty of positives to come out of the game which is great. There is however still plenty of work to do in training.
Please all make an effort to get training this week, we have a big game away to South Molton this Saturday.
