PRESEASON RETURNS

At the start of this month preseason returned to Bonfire Field for our Men's, Women's and many of our junior sections. After what has seemed like a never ending journey the light at the end of the Covid (at least in terms of playing rugby) tunnel seems within touching distance. Over the next few days and weeks the fixture lists are beginning to trickle in (our 1st XV's can be seen below) and the thought of scrums has never been so gladly received. It's been a long time coming so I hope we can all rely on you to turn up in your numbers to help cheer and support our club again from the touchlines.

1st XV Season Opener - Liskeard Looe (A) - 04/09
Home Opener - Newquay Hornets (H) - 11/09

2nd XV Season Opener - Tiverton III (A) - 04/09
Home Opener - Westcountry Wasps (H) - 18/09

Ladies Season Opener - Bath II (H) - 26/09

WEDDING BELLS AT TOPSHAM

This month we very proud to celebrate the wedding of two of our club's most influential characters. On the 3rd July Tim Taylor and Bex Partridge tied the knot in a lovely ceremony held just outside Exeter. Tim has been a leading voice on our committee for some time now as well as a big personality within the men's setup. Bex too has played a big role behind our club's scene as well as being a leading figure both on and off the pitch for Topsham Ladies.

Please join us in wishing them both a massive congratulations and a happy future together

CLEANING UP OUR ACT

With the ever increasing prospect of competitive league rugby at Topsham closing in we undertook our annual big club clean up. Headed up by Richard Williams a team of club members and some locals helped prepare our club and facilities for the upcoming season. Throughout the day the clubhouse was given a massive deep clean, including repairs to the inside and out. The big undertaking of tidying up the grass verges along the main road and around the pitches was also completed. All in all things look a lot better at HQ and we can confidently say we are one step closer to welcoming some long overdue opposition to our club.

Thanks to everybody who turned out and Rich for organising.
