Topsham 90 – 0 Torpoint St Columb 

 

Topsham demolishished Torpoint on Sunday to consolidate their position at the top of the league with their sixth win in the league this year.

 

The scoring started early with George York  doing a wonderful crash move through the middle to score under the posts in the first two minutes. Tries followed in the next 10 minutes from Will Whetstone (2) with some great cash running and also from Stamp. The first half continued with Topsham in total control ending with the half time score at 60-0.

 

After half time Torpoint came on strong, nearly scoring in the first minute with a great run from their centre only to be stopped on the 22 with a great tackle from George York. George also scored the first try of the second half. Darren Davis scored 2 tries to bring his match total up to 3 and man of the match Will Whetstone scored once more to make his total five for the afternoon.

 

Topsham are now 4 points ahead of Ilfricombe who lost to Salcombe on Saturday
